Entries now open for Dronfield in Bloom

If you're proud of your garden then entries are now open for the annual Dronfield in Bloom competition. There are five categories to entry as follows;

- Best front garden
- Best front garden tubs and planters
- Best front garden hanging baskets
- Best Nursing Homes in Bloom
- Best Business in Bloom

The National Lottery helps fund Gosforth Lodge refurbishment

During the half term holidays next week (27th - 31st May), Gosforth Lodge in Cliffe Park will be receiving a new lease of life. The room will be painted, have a new hard wearing floor fitted and new sleek blinds fitted. This is in part thanks to a successful application to the National Lottery Community Fund, which awarded £10,000 towards the cost of the project.

At the annual Council Meeting, held on Monday 13th May, Cllr Lilian Deighton was elected Mayor for the forthcoming year. She was presented with the Chain of Office by outgoing Mayor Cllr Philip Wright (photo courtesy of Dronfield Eye).

Birches Fold play ground now open!

Dronfield Town Council are delighted to announce, that following an extensive refurbishment, Birches Fold playground in Coal Aston is now re-open.

With many new pieces of equipment the park is now a great safe area for children to play. A new soft flooring has also been laid and a new fence has been installed to enclose the play area and help to keep children safe.

Stall bookings now open for Dronfield Gala

Dronfield Town Council are delighted to be hosting the Dronfield Gala on Sunday 30th June 2019. The Gala will take place in Cliffe Park on Callywhite Lane between 12pm and 4pm.
