New Town Mayor

At the annual Council Meeting, held on Monday 13th May, Cllr Lilian Deighton was elected Mayor for the forthcoming year. She was presented with the Chain of Office by outgoing Mayor Cllr Philip Wright (photo courtesy of Dronfield Eye).

During the meeting returning councillors welcomed the seven new councillors that joined the Town Council following the recent elections held at the beginning of May. Members were also allocated places on committees and representatives were nominated for a number of outside bodies during the meeting. The dates for the forthcoming council meetings were also agreed.
