Dronfield Annual Gala 2019

This summers Gala - taking place on Sunday 30th June between 12pm and 4pm in Cliffe Park - is set to be another great event with some fantastic features on the day highlighted below;
Animal Encounters
This year children of all ages will be able to encounter a wide variety of animals at the Gala ranging from pygmy hedgehogs to lizards to meerkats plus many more. Come and discover more about each animal from it's owner on the day.
Children's Crafts
In Gosforth Lodge, there will be a fantastic selection of craft activities for children of all ages including badge making, jumping clay and much more - for which there will be a small charge.
Over 20 stall holders
There will also be the usual great selection of stalls from local community groups and commercial businesses. Stalls signed up so far include First Responders, Heritage Trust, RSPB, Caz's Cakes, Bluebell Wood Childresn Hospice, Morgan's Woodfired Pizza, Gin & Fizz and the Donut Hut. Dronfield Pharmacy will also be there to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation.
Performers
Entertainment will be provided throughout the afternoon in the central arena. This year, regular dance group Dance Dronfield, will be joined by the marvellous Dronfield Genquip Brass Band and for the first time Dronfield Wado-Ryu Karate will be demonstrating the awesome talents of their members.
Fairground Rides
There will be the usual great selection of fairgrounds rides and inflatables for all ages. Plus the Town Council have arranged for trampolines, the circus skills workshop and Wipeout - all of which will be free of charge.
The Gala will be officially opened by the Dronfield Town Mayor and don't forget entry on the day is free of charge, so make sure the date is in your diary now!
