Road Closures and Maintenance

The Town Council received reports of road maintenance works to be carried out in and around Dronfield over the coming months.

Works include carriageway resurfacing works to A61 Chesterfield Road South in Dronfield. Diversions will be in place for any inconvenience caused.

Coal Aston's Coun Mark Foster commented: "Carriageway resurfacing is to take place on Dyche Lane and portions of Eckington Road shortly. This follows on from recent investment into the resurfacing of both Oakhill Road and Holmesdale Road. Parts of our road network are used heavily by buses and HGVs and give extra wear to surfaces, reducing their lifespan. These repairs go a long way into making our roads safer for all road users and preventing damage to vehicles. I would like to thank residents for their patience."

Other roads planned for resurfacing/dressing/works include Derwent Road, Salisbury Road, Egerton Road, Crofton Rise, Longacre Road and Callywhite Lane.
