Great Fire of Dronfield Statement
At the ordinary meeting of Dronfield Town Council held on Monday 4th September 2023 a proposal was put forward and seconded that permission should not be granted for the Great Fire of Dronfield 2023 to be held on the Dronfield Woodhouse Recreation Ground over concerns of public safety. This proposal was then put to a vote and was passed unanimously.

Dronfield Woodhouse Running Track
Dronfield Town Council have worked with Dronfield Running Club to provide a new facility promoting running and fitness in Dronfield. Dronfield Woodhouse Recreation Ground is being used by Dronfield Running Club for a 4 lane, 300m running track marked into the existing grass field.
The track can also be used by the wider Dronfield community, promoting running in a safe environment.
