Grit Bins being refilled
All of the 141 grit bins are currently being re-filled by our Outside Services team after the recent snowy weather in Dronfield.
The team are working around two routes to re-fill all the bins.
This will take some time, but please be reassured all of the grit bins will be re-filled.

Hilltop Tree Planting
Fifteen replacement trees are being planted at Hilltop Park in December to replace dangerous, diseased or dying trees that have been felled in Dronfield this year.
In their place, a mix of UK native species are being planted, aimed at boosting biodiversity. Dronfield Cubs are helping with the planting at Hilltop.

Christmas Office Times
The Dronfield Town Council offices will be closed from Wednesday 24th December 2025 for Christmas.
The office will re-open on Friday 2nd January 2026, phone messages will be checked intermittently during this period.

Dronfield Christmas Lights Switch-on 2025 - Thank you!
A big thank you to all residents who came out to support the Dronfield Christmas Lights Switch-on 2025! We had a great night getting into the Christmas spirit with you. It was lovely to see so many smiling faces and people enjoying themselves on the night.

Councillors call for a banking hub
Dronfield Town Councillors have called for action to restore face-to-face banking services in the town following Barclays' decision to close its Barclays Local facility at Dronfield Library from November.
While the Barclays Local did not handle cash, its closure marks the latest step in the long decline of in-person banking provision in Dronfield.
