Coronation Tree Planting
On Saturday, 6th May, Dronfield Town Councillors planted an oak tree in Jubilee Park, in celebration and commemoration of the coronation of Their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla.
The event was made even more special by featuring the spade which had been used to plant the tree in the library gardens in Dronfield in 1953 for the coronation of HM Queen Elizabeth II, 70 years previously.

Oak tree to be planted for Coronation
Dronfield Town Council are celebrating the new reign and coronation of HM King Charles III, in several ways over the coming days and month.
On Saturday 6th May, an oak tree will be planted at Jubilee Park at 9:00am to commemorate the coronation, members of the public are invited to join in this occasion.

From NE Derbyshire District Council : Road closure fees waived and grants available as part of the King’s Coronation celebrations
North East Derbyshire District Council is proud to inform residents who are wishing to celebrate the King's Coronation in May that road closure fees have been waived for street parties and groups can apply for grants to support celebrations in the community.
