Dronfield Roads & Pathways, £1.27 million investment

At the March Town Council meeting, a report was received from Derbyshire County Council detailing the roads and pathways in Dronfield which are due to be resurfaced/redressed in this years LTP Capital Programme (2022/2023). Local Plan Main Modifications Consultation

At the beginning of November 2020, the District Council launched a consultation process on the Main Modifications proposed on the North East Derbyshire Local Plan. The Local Plan, amongst other things, says where houses will be built within Dronfield over the coming years.

We need lots of residents to comment on this draft to give us the best chance to convince the independent Inspector, about how to improve the Local Plan further, with particular reference to retaining the greenbelt around the town.

Fracking

    Correspondence received from Mr Robert Mirfin informing the Council that he would not be attending the Council meeting to discuss the decision not to request an Environmental Impact Assessment for the Bramleymoor Lane site.

    The motion was passed at the meeting of Dronfield town Council held on Tuesday 2nd May 2017.

    Proposed by Cllr. A. Dale. Seconded by Cllr. A. Hutchinson

    That the Council writes to Derbyshire County Council to reiterate it's opposition to fracking and to express very serious concerns over the proposed route for HGV traffic for its planned operations at Bramleymoor Lane, Marsh Lane.
