Dronfield Christmas Lights Switch-On 2022

The date for the Dronfield Christmas Lights Switch On 2022 is Friday 25th November!

Christmas Fest will begin at 4pm with the Civic Hall and Peel Centre hosting a variety of stalls from local organisations and commercial businesses.

The Christmas Lights will then be turned on in the Library Gardens High Street at 6pm!

A variety of street food will be available on the night - including Project D, Fiery Dough Pizzas and Kippis Milkshake Bar.

Fairground rides will be open in the Civic Hall car park and local businesses will be open until late.

Santa will be making his annual stop into the Civic Hall to spread some Christmas cheer, courtesy of Dronfield Rotary Club!

The Forge

The Forge will be hosting a Christmas Market, full of Christmas gift ideas, tasty festive treats, entertainment and more!

The Barn

From 4pm -7pm, the Barn will celebrate Dronfield's Christmas light switch on the Friday evening and continue into the Saturday, getting into the Christmas spirit and supporting local, independent businesses and their own high-quality products.

With more stallholders than ever before - from refreshments and sweet treats to gift ideas - The Barn could be your one stop shop for all your Christmas shopping.

All the favourite stalls will be in attendance, as well as some exciting new additions. There will even be some Christmas entertainment on the night, to ensure you leave the event feeling festive!

The Parish Church

The Parish Church will once again host the Annual Christmas Tree Festival.

See Christmas Trees from a wide variety of different groups and organisations located in Dronfield!

More than 100 trees will be on display - decorated to represent local schools, churches, businesses, groups, societies, town twinning and many more.

Road Closures and Parking Area Closures for Friday 25th November

High Street

From 4pm to 8pm on Friday 25th November, High Street will be closed from the roundabout at the junction with Gosforth Lane, down to the junction with Soaper Lane for the annual Christmas Festival & Christmas light switch on.

Civic Centre Car Park

Between 4pm to 8pm on Friday 25th November, with the exception of buses, the Civic Centre car park will be inaccessible/closed.

Library Car Park (Rear of library)

From 12pm to 8pm on Friday 25th November, the Library car park (behind the library) will be closed.

Farwater Lane Car Park - Open as normal

Farwater Lane car park will be open as normal, but will be very busy. Please allow extra time for your journey.

Parking Bays outside Civic Hall

From 7am to 9pm on Friday 25th November, the top row of the Civic Centre car park (closest to Civic Hall) will be closed so stalls at the event can set up.

Apologies for any inconvenience, signage has been displayed in all areas to make residents aware.
