Bowshaw 30mph speed Limit proposal

The June Town Council meeting saw councillors give their supportive response to the Derbyshire County Council proposal to reduce the speed limit on Bowshaw from 40mph to 30mph.Local councillors and Dronfield Town Council have campaigned for many years to see this change.Town Councillor for Bowshaw and Chair of Road Safety Committee, Councillor Marie Ireland commented: " This will be an excellent result for residents who live here, better for all road users, safer for pedestrians and less noise and air pollution. I expect the speed reduction on HGVs on this route to make the biggest difference."The statutory consultation closed on 10th June, 2022.
