Dronfield Roads & Pathways, £1.27 million investment

At the March Town council meeting, a report was received from Derbyshire County Council detailing the roads and pathways in Dronfield which are due to be resurfaced/redressed in this years LTP Capital Programme (2022/2023).

A £58 million investment in the county's roads and pavements has been put forward by Cabinet at Derbyshire County Council. The work will be carried out from April 2022 to March 2023. This is the second year of a £120 million, three year programme spent across the county. The investment into Dronfield's highways and footpaths for 2022/23 will be £1.27 million. Cllr Mark Foster "This is an unprecedented figure, the largest investment in the County's highways infrastructure ever. I am really pleased to see so much of it coming to our town."

Much of this work will need road closures, to make sure it can be done safely. Where possible, work will be carried out at off-peak times.
