Bus Shelter Renewals

Highways engineers from Derbyshire County Council met with Dronfield Town Councillors to discuss plans to renew bus shelters on Route 43. Five locations along the route have been identified. Bus shelters are considered valuable amenity to waiting bus passengers. Visibility and safety are important features of the new design, especially for women, children and elderly people. Internal illumination is also part of the design. Cllr Lilian Deighton explained "The five new shelters will be made accessible for all users. The funding will be shared between Dronfield Town Council and Derbyshire County Council under a new capital funding scheme. These improvements are a part of our commitment to improve bus facilities around our town."
