Christmas Lights Switch-On - Friday 26th November

The tree is up ahead of this Friday's Christmas Lights Switch-On and the final preparations are being made. Join us between 4pm and 8pm on Friday 26th November for lots of festive fun!

The evening will begin from 4pm with fairground rides in the Civic Centre car park. The fun continues in the Civic Hall with, festive stalls, Santa's Grotto run by members of The Rotary Club of Dronfield and free Christmas craft activities for the children to make.

Stonelow Junior School Choir will be performing at the Lights Switch-on at 6pm and the band will be playing Christmas carols for everyone to join in with. A selection of refreshments will be available throughout the evening including wood fired pizza, burgers, and roasted chestnuts. Coffee Central on the High Street will also be staying open late for eat-in or take-out.

With a road closure in place between 4pm and 8pm many of the shops on the High Street will be open late on Friday, offering a range of attractions including mulled wine and mince pies, photo opportunities and music, plus an Elf Trail for the children to complete.

The Barn, Peel Centre and The Forge will be hosting Christmas Markets and the Christmas

Tree Festival will also be on at the Parish Church – so don't forget to visit those too.

Plus as an extra special treat this year, come and meet Santa's real-life reindeer! We look forward to seeing everyone on Friday.
