Dronfield Town Council is pleased to announce the introduction of a brand-new electric vehicle.

Dronfield Town Council have declared a climate emergency and as a result of that created an Environmental Committee focused on projects which can help improve the environment around town. One of those projects is moving the fleet of vehicles towards more environmentally friendly models. This will be the first electric vehicle the Town Council has had.

The new, environmentally friendly vehicle is in use by the Town Council's Outside Services Team who are now able to maintain the town's public facilities in a more energy efficient way.

Soon the Nissan e-NV200 Combi will be getting a new look when its plain white exterior gets covered in its new artwork.

Dronfield Town Council has been working with Henry Fanshawe school on the Dronfield Town Council Electric Vehicle Artwork Competition where students were asked to create a piece of artwork inspired by electric vehicular power to cover the sides of the vehicle.

In the coming weeks, the winner will be announced so keep a look out for the newly designed van driving around the streets of Dronfield!
