D-Day 80th Anniversary Beacon Lighting

On the 6th of June 2024 Dronfield Town Council will be taking part in the D-Day 80 event by lighting the Beacon in Sindelfingen Park at 9:15pm. The beacon represents the 'light of peace' that emerged from the darkness of war.
The 6th of June 2024 marks the 80th anniversary of D-Day, when Allied forces mounted the largest amphibious invasion, the world has ever witnessed.
We hope as many residents as possible will attend to help us mark the event.
