Christmas & New Year Opening Hours - Dronfield Town Council

During the Christmas and New Year holidays the council office will be closed from 4pm on Wednesday 23rd December 2020 and will re-open at 10am on Monday 4th January 2021.

Voicemails will be monitored during this period in case of emergency.

Please be reassured that during this time the Outside Services team will be working, should we receive any seasonal weather.

Children's Christmas Tree Decorating Competition

Dronfield Town Council are delighted to announce the winners of the Children's Christmas Tree Decorating Competition.

The competition was open to three age groups, under 5's, 5-10 and 11+. A first, second and third place was chosen from each age group.

The final decision was made by a panel of judges who had the unenviable task of choosing the winners from over 170 amazing entries.

Dronfield's Best Festive House Competition Winners Announced

The winners of the 2020 Best Festive House Competition have been revealed.

Judges from the council toured Dronfield over several nights to decide on the winners.

Thank you to all the entrants for getting into the festive spirit by decorating their homes with lights and displays.

The Rotary Club of Dronfield will be bringing Santa to the Towns streets again this December.

Organised by The Rotary Club of Dronfield, Santa's Sleigh will be touring the area as usual during December. Families will be warmly welcomed to wave to Santa from a safe distance, and the sights and sounds of the Sleigh and Santa's helpers will all bring festive cheer to the neighbourhood.

Dronfield Community Centres to re-open

Dronfield council is pleased to confirm that Gosforth Lodge and The Civic Centre will be opening their doors from the 2nd of December 2020 for permitted bookings only following the lifting of national restrictions.

We are also pleased to announce that we will also be taking MUGA booking again and the tennis courts will be unlocked and ready for use, pending further Government statements.

Rotary in Dronfield have organised Santa's Sleigh in S18 for over 25 years. In that time the money raised has been used to support many local projects.

This year Covid 19 and the placing of Dronfield in Tier 3 means that the Sleigh cannot operate in the normal way.
