At the beginning of November 2020, the District Council launched a consultation process on the Main Modifications proposed on the North East Derbyshire Local Plan. The Local Plan, amongst other things, says where houses will be built within Dronfield over the coming years.

Result of Dronfield Neighbourhood Plan Referendum

The Referendum for the Dronfield Neighbourhood Plan took place on Thursday 24th October 2019. North East Derbyshire District Council have declared the results of the votes cast as follows:

Number of votes cast in favour of a yes - 88.78%

Number of votes cast in favour of a no - 10.78%

Number of ballot papers rejected for being unmarked or wholly void for uncertainty - 0.44%

Dronfield Neighbourhood Plan Submitted to District Council

Dronfield Neighbourhood Plan Submitted to District Council

The draft Dronfield Neighbourhood Plan has today been submitted to North East Derbyshire District Council.

The District Council will now undertake a further public consultation on the Plan for six weeks before the Plan is subjected to an independent examination.

A referendum will then be held later in the year, and if successful the Plan will be "made" and used to help determine planning applications.... Read More »
