Dronfield Remembrance Sunday 2025
As always, Dronfield residents provided an incredible show of support for the Remembrance Sunday Parade 2025 on Sunday 9th November.
Due to the ongoing road closure on Church Street, the parade started (for this year only) on Soaper Lane, marching up to the Library Gardens and back again.
A Service of Remembrance, held from 10.55am at the War Memorial, was attended by service representatives, cadet, youth, and voluntary organisations. Church representatives were also present along with the crowds of families and individuals.
The Last Post was played and two minutes silence was observed at 11am. Wreaths were then laid at the side of the War Memorial on behalf of various groups and organisations. Town Mayor, Cllr Susan Burkitt, placed a wreath on behalf of the Town Council.
Each year the support for the parade seems to grow, with the packed out Library Gardens and high street pavements. A big thank you to everyone who came out to support the parade, all of the DTC staff and the parade/service participants on the day.
We will remember them, always.
