Dronfield Christmas Lights Switch-on and Christmas Fest

The date for Dronfield Christmas Lights Switch-on in 2025 is Friday 28th November from 4pm until 8pm.

Christmas Fest will begin at 4pm with the Civic Hall and Peel Centre hosting a variety of stalls from local organisations and commercial businesses.

Following Carols from a local school choir at 6pm, the Christmas Lights will then be turned on in the Library Gardens!

A variety of street food will be available on the night and the ever-popular fairground rides will be here once again.

Please be advised that there will be a road closure in place on the High Street from 5pm - 8pm on Friday 28th November. There will be no access to the Civic Centre car park during the road closure.

Extra parking for the Christmas event will be available at Ametek LAND on Wreakes Lane (S18 1DJ) from 2:30pm until 8pm. PLEASE NOTE - The Ametek LAND car park gate will be closed and locked after 8pm. Any cars still in the car park after this time will have to remain in the car park until the site reopens the following day.

Also on the night…

The Dronfield Hall Barn will hold their Dronfield Artisan Market in the stunning medieval building and grounds of Dronfield Hall Barn from 4pm -7.30pm. The market is a true celebration of local creativity and passion, showcasing fresh, small-batch produce and beautifully handcrafted goods. Discover a variety of stalls from talented local traders, from original artwork and stained glass to craft beers, vegan treats, and more, with the stalls situated in both the Barn and the gardens.

The Parish Church will once again host the Annual Christmas Tree Festival.

See Christmas Trees from a wide variety of different groups and organisations located in Dronfield! More than 100 trees will be on display - decorated to represent local schools, churches, businesses, groups, societies and many more!

Road Closures and Parking Area Closures for Friday 28th November

High Street - 5pm to 8pm

High Street will be closed from the roundabout at the junction with Gosforth Lane, down to the junction with Soaper Lane.

Civic Centre Car Park - 5pm to 8pm

With the exception of buses, the Civic Centre car park will be inaccessible/closed.

Library Car Park (Rear of library) - 7am to 8pm

The Library car park (behind the library) will be closed to allow for event set-up.

Civic Hall Christmas stalls are now fully booked up for 2025.
