Play Areas

The Town Council manages ten play areas across the town and safety within the play areas is of the utmost importance.

Regular weekly visual inspections are undertaken, along with quarterly and annual operational inspections of all the play areas. During summer, you may see our outside services team checking equipment and making repairs where necessary.

Coun Anthony Hutchinson, Chair of the Parks & Recreation Committee, said: "If a piece of equipment is closed for safety reasons, please do not use it. We aim to make repairs as quickly as possible but sometimes need to wait for delivery of required parts. The council is committed to providing safe, quality play areas as well as investing in constant repairs. A full refurbishment of Stonelow play area is scheduled towards the end of this year. If you spot any issues in any of our play areas, please report them to the office on 01246 418573."
