Community Orchard

The Dronfield Community Orchard has now been planted on land between Poplar Close, Chestnut Close, Highgate Drive and Greenacres Close.

The orchard has 12 fruit trees that will harvest a variety of apples, cherries, pears and plums.

Chair of the Environmental Committee, Coun Pam Jones, commented "I am delighted to see the orchard planted and look forward to watching the tees grow, providing beautiful fresh fruit for residents to enjoy in the coming years. Orchards are so important, no just for biodiversity and wildlife but for the whole community."
