Dronfield Town Council returns to face-to-face meetings and re-elects a Mayor.

In line with the latest Government guidance Dronfield Town Council has now returned to socially distanced, face to face council meetings.

After meeting virtually, via video conferencing app Zoom, for more than a year Dronfield Town Council held its first meeting in public on Monday 10th of May 2021.

Monday's meeting was held in the temporary venue of the Main Hall in the Civic Hall, rather than the Council Chamber, to allow for more social distancing. During the meeting Councillor Richard Welton was re-elected Town Mayor, for a second term.

Councillor Welton said "I am honoured and pleased to have been re-elected for a second term, given the effects of the coronavirus pandemic on the first year, I hope that this year I will be able to be back amongst the community, meeting more people and supporting the various projects in the town."

The Town Council's next Council Meeting will be held on Monday 7th June at 7:30pm.
