Christmas in Dronfield

Christmas is coming to Dronfield this year.

Although there will be no event taking place for the Christmas Light Switch-on and despite the national restrictions that are currently in place to slow the spread of COVID-19, the Town Council will be installing and lighting extra large Christmas Trees around town, in addition to the one outside the Library.

There will be a Christmas Tree located in Sindelfingen Park, on the Town Well site on Carr Lane, near Hilltop Park, on Snape Hill, the Pond at Coal Aston, Lucas Gardens and the Train Station. All will be lit with fairy lights.

A number of new Christmas trees with lights on will also be mounted on shops illuminating Chesterfield Road as well as the High Street hopefully bringing beautiful sparkle and light to our town this Yuletide season.

Santa's Sleigh

Dronfield Town Council is also proud to announce that this year they will be supporting the Rotary Club of Dronfield with their Santa's Sleigh 2020.

The Rotary Club of Dronfield run Santa's Sleigh each year raising money for various local charities. Santa and the Sleigh travel around the streets of Dronfield in the early evenings the week before Christmas meeting and spend time chatting with local children.

The timetable of where and when Santa's sleigh will distributed shortly.
