Community Action Grants

Community Action Grants

North East Derbyshire District Council has opened another bidding round for its Community Action Grants scheme which is open to constituted groups and non-constituted groups sponsored by an organisation who will act on their behalf operating in North East Derbyshire District to access up to £500 grant funding for projects taking place in the District that support NEDDC's Council Plan.

Groups which wish to apply must be formally constituted, have a managing body which meets regularly, elected office bearers, a bank account and be not-for-profit OR be sponsored by a constituted group or Parish/Town Council that meets these criteria.

Community Action Grants enable groups operating in North East Derbyshire to access up to £500 grant funding to support residents to tackle local issues in the District that support our Council Plan (.pdf | 4mb).

We would welcome applications which aim to help or promote awareness of the benefits physical activity, successful community events, local community improvements, reducing social isolation, raising awareness of climate change, improving recycling rates and reducing litter, enhancing biodiversity, supporting development of local volunteers and groups, addressing parking issues and reducing anti-social behaviour.

Council Plan priorities may link to project ideas and can be found in the – Priority tick list for Community Action Grant Activity (.pdf | 210kb) document.

The full Council Plan priorities (.pdf | 4mb) document is on our website.

For more information, download a Community Action Grants Application form, or contact Sue Dixon at email or telephone 01246 217606.

Subject to remaining funds, the deadline is 31st December 2020, however applications will be assessed by the Council as they are received. Applicants will be notified of the outcome within 20 working days assuming all assessment requirements have been addressed.
