Christmas Celebrations begin on 30th November 2018

Christmas celebrations will begin in Dronfield on Friday 30th November with the annual Christmas Lights Switch-on at 7pm in the Library Gardens.

Children from William Levick Primary School will be singing some festive songs and everyone is invited to join in with the carol singing. This year the Dronfield Genquip Brass Band will be providing the music. There will also be a collection which will be split between the school and the Town Mayor's Charity Fund.

The following weekend on Saturday 8th December the annual Christmas Fest will take place in the Civic Hall and Library Gardens between 10am and 4pm. There will be seasonal refreshments, free craft activities and Santa's Grotto, plus stalls from many local groups and organisations.

To coincide with this the Dronfield Parish Church will also be hosting a Christmas Tree Festival from 30th November to 9th December, where they are hoping to have 200 trees decorated by local groups, schools, shops and businesses. So there's lots to look forward to this Christmas in Dronfield.
