HS2 Consultation Event - Civic Hall, 7th November

In July 2018 the Secretary of State announced the electrification of a 25km section of the Midland Mainline, from Clay Cross to Sheffield Midland station, to be included in Phase 2b of HS2.

This work will link Sheffield and Chesterfield to the HS2 network and will enable HS2 to call at these stations. On Wednesday 7th November HS2 will be carrying out two consultations at the Civic Hall in Dronfield on the Phase 2b route these are;

1) The working draft Environmental Statement and;

2) The working draft Equality Impact Assessment Report

The electrification proposals are in an early stage of development. The working draft Environmental Statement does, however, include useful information about the proposals both in the area and across the route.
