The Queen's Platinum Jubilee is a once in a lifetime event, Dronfield Town Council would like to give children the opportunity to commemorate this special occasion by designing a crown fit for the Queen. Speed Indicator Devices

At their April meeting, Dronfield Town Council agreed to purchase newly available Speed Indicator Devices to cover speeding hotspots around Dronfield. SIDS are a type of electronically activated sign that is used to accurately measure the speed of oncoming traffic.

Bowshaw 40mph to 30mph proposal

Derbyshire County Council is consulting on a proposal to reduce the speed limit from 40mph to 30mph on the B6057 from the A61 roundabout to the 30mph limit near the Coach and Horses.

Car Park Lighting Changes

As part of Dronfield Town Councils commitment to tackling climate change and helping with CO2 reduction, existing lights at Cliffe Park and Coal Aston car park are to be replaced with LED lights.

The benefits of using LED include:

-Lasting much longer
- 60% less energy
- Less maintenance required
- An overall cost saving after initial capital expenditure is taken into account.

There have been a number of requests concerning the donation of items toward the needs of those who are suffering due to the horrific events in Ukraine.
