A National Moment of Reflection will take place at 8pm on Sunday 18th September to mourn the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and reflect on her life and legacy. The National Moment of Reflection will take place the evening before the State Funeral and be marked by a one-minute silence.

A local Proclamation to formally announce the accession of His Majesty, King Charles III was held in the library gardens in Dronfield.

Residents and officials attended the event on the steps of the library in the Manor Gardens at 4pm on Sunday, 11 September 2022.

The passing of HM Queen Elizabeth the Second

It is with the greatest sorrow that Dronfield Town Council join the nation in mourning the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Second. We remember with affection and gratitude the lifetime of service given by HM Queen Elizabeth the Second.
