New Trees for Sindelfingen Park

After an independent inspection by a qualified tree surgeon earlier in the year, Sindelfingen Park lost some of its trees when sixteen trees were identified as dead, diseased, or dying. The recommendation therefore was for those trees affected to be felled.

In response to the loss of these trees, Dronfield Town Council recently took delivery of 20 specimen trees for planting in Sindelfingen Park.

The Council has received a gritting committee report confirming that Dronfield is prepared for the winter ahead.

Grit bins belonging to the Town Council have been replaced, repaired, turned over and filled. An order has been placed for a further 10 tonnes from Derbyshire County Council to bring our local storage to a full capacity. This enables Town Council staff to refill bins as grit is used. Quiz Night at Cafe Civic - Thursday 15th December

Café Civic are hosting a quiz night on Thursday 15th December to support the Dronfield Town Mayors Charity Fund.

Tickets are on sale now from Café Civic at a cost of £10, which includes a mince pie and a hot drink or £15, which includes a mince pie and an alcoholic drink.

Office Opening Times Wednesday 7th December 2022

The Town Council office will be closed between 10am and 1pm on Wednesday 7th December, due to staff training.

However, voicemails can still be left, which will be responded to when the office reopens or residents can contact us through the website or by emailing townclerk@dronfield.gov.uk.

Cliffe Park Update

Cliffe Park Update

Cliffe Park was fully refurbished in 2018, as part of the Town Councils rolling programme of park refurbishments.

There are currently several pieces of equipment out of use, following regular inspections of the playground.

Sindelfingen Park funding bid

The October Town Council meeting saw councillors agree to apply for funding to refurbish Sindelfingen Park.

Central Government created the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) to deliver the levelling up agenda, allocating £2.6 billion across the UK up to the end of 2024 - 25 financial year.

Homes plan for Gladys Buxton Site

A proposed development of 36 houses was discussed at the September Town Council meeting.

The planning application, made by Rockliffe Homes for 20 three-bedroom and 16 four-bedroom homes, is under consultation with planning officers at NE Derbyshire District Council.

The site is classed as 'brownfield' and is included in the Dronfield Neighbourhood Plan for development.
