Derbyshire Scamwatch Event at Dronfield Baptist Church

Derbyshire Scam Watch is a project funded by the Police and Crime Commissioner for Derbyshire.

The aim is to raise awareness, particularly amongst older residents, of the potential harmful effects of mass-marketing, internet, doorstep and telephone scams and to provide one to one advice and support where potential scam/fraud victims are identified.

Dronfield Christmas Fest this Saturday, 8th December

This Saturday see's the annual Christmas Fest take place in the Civic Hall and Library Gardens between 10am and 4pm.

There will be seasonal refreshments, free craft activities for children, a Santa's Grotto plus a great selection of stalls from many local groups and organisations including the Guides, Cardio Club, Fairtrade, Drone Valley Brewery, Usbourne Books, Caz Cakes plus many more.

Thousands turn out to Remember

Thousands of local Dronfield residents turned out to mark 100 years since the end of the First World War. Yesterday, Sunday 11th November, the annual Remembrance Day Parade took place in the morning, where a number of local groups laid wreaths around the War Memorial located in the Manor Library Gardens.

HS2 Consultation Event - Civic Hall, 7th November

In July 2018 the Secretary of State announced the electrification of a 25km section of the Midland Mainline, from Clay Cross to Sheffield Midland station, to be included in Phase 2b of HS2.

Hundreds of local resident's enjoyed a beautiful afternoon in Cliffe Park yesterday at the annual Dronfield Gala.

Opened by Town Mayor, Cllr Philip Wright, the Gala provided a variety of fantastic community and commercial stalls plus fairground rides and inflatables.
