The Town Council are currently seeking expressions of interest from entrepreneurs with the vision to provide a popular café in the park, under a lease agreement with the Town Council. The annual Dronfield Christmas Light's Switch-On takes place tomorrow, Friday 29th November 2019 at 6:00pm outside the Library.

Residents lined the pavements in Dronfield yesterday, Sunday 10th November, to watch the Remembrance Sunday Parade as it made its way from School Lane to the Library Gardens and back again.

2019 Remembrance Day Parade and Service

A service will take place at the War Memorial outside Dronfield Library on Sunday 10th November 2019. Arrangements for this years' service are as follows;

The Referendum for the Dronfield Neighbourhood Plan took place on Thursday 24th October 2019. North East Derbyshire District Council have declared the results of the votes cast as follows:

Number of votes cast in favour of a yes - 88.78%

Number of votes cast in favour of a no - 10.78%

Number of ballot papers rejected for being unmarked or wholly void for uncertainty - 0.44%

Stalls are now available to book for the Christmas Fest, taking place on Friday 29th November at the Civic Hall between 4pm and 8pm.

There will be free craft activities for the children and children will also be able to visit Santa, plus there will be a fairground outside in the car park too.

Derbyshire County Council have ordered a temporary road closure of the B6056 Stubley Hollow from the junction with Sheffield Road to the junction with Wreakes Lane from the 28th October to 2nd November between 8:00pm and 4:00am each night to facilitate rail bridge repair works by Network Rail.

Dronfield Town Council is launching the first stage of its new tree planting project.

In partnership with Ferndale Garden Centre, 20 trees will be gifted this autumn to residents who have recently moved to the town or who have recently moved within the town.
