Dronfield Town Council's rolling refurbishment of parks across the town, continues in 2020. Work began this week on the latest refurbishment at Marsh Avenue and work is expected to take around three weeks to complete the project.

Dronfield Library to reopen from Tuesday 7th July

Derbyshire County Council closed all of their 45 libraries on 20th March 2020 due to the coronavirus.

They are now planning to reopen 7 libraries including Dronfield Library, on Tuesday 7th July 2020.

Residents must book an appointment to visit the library and people are being urged not to turn up without having arranged their appointment first.

The Wildflower Meadow, that was planted in Sindelfingen Park back in April, is now starting to bloom with many different varieties of flowers appearing. Derbyshire County Council to take action on A61

A short stretch of the A61 in Dronfield is to be resurfaced following residents reporting noise issues.

The road, from Bowshaw roundabout to Whittington Moor roundabout, was surface dressed in 2019. Surface dressing is carried out to extend the life of a road and is routinely carried out across the country and in Derbyshire.
