Stonelow Play Area refurbishment

Dronfield Town Council is proud to announce that Wicksteed has been chosen as the contractor for a major refurbishment to Stonelow Play Area.

Located at the junction of Stonelow Road and Shireoaks Road, Wicksteed have created an inclusive playground design for children of all abilities.

Chair of the Parks & Recreation Committee, Coun Anthony Hutchinson said: "The new play area will feature equipment designed to foster confidence, resilience and learning through play, with features that encourage exploration and risk-taking in a safe environment."

"The refurbishment is scheduled to begin towards the end of 2025. Existing equipment except for the stone climbing structure and swings, will be removed and replaced with modern alternatives. Stonelow Play Area is a well-used, enclosed site, especially by school children from nearby infant and junior schools. The Town Council hopes the new design will make the play area more welcoming and accessible for all."
