Footpath at Risk of Closure

Footpath at Risk of Closure

Did you know the footpath that connects Holmely Lane with Marsh Avenue Recreation Ground is at risk of being closed? Dronfield Town Council are aware that this footpath provides a popular short cut for many residents and are therefore in the process of looking to apply for the footpath to be officially recognised as a Public Right of Way by Derbyshire County Council on their definitive map.

In order for this to happen the Town Council need statements from members of the public to support an application for the path to be recognised as Public Right of Way. If you would like to help retain access to the footpath in questions please download and complete the relevant form, which can be found below. Please note that a plan must also be included with each evidence form. The plans should be marked by each user submitting evidence, showing clearly the route claimed to have used in the forms.

Please note completed forms need to be returned to the Town Council no later than 30th June 2020 to help support the Town Councils application. Please DO NOT send forms directly to Derbyshire County Council.
