2019 Remembrance Day Parade and Service

2019 Remembrance Day Parade and Service

A service will take place at the War Memorial outside Dronfield Library on Sunday 10th November 2019. Arrangements for this years' service are as follows;

The Parade will assemble in School Lane at 10:15am and move off at 10:35am. There will be a hymn and the last post will be played at 10:55am before a two minute silence at 11am. Following this there will be an Act of Homage, Naming of War Dead, Laying of wreaths, Prayers and hymns and the National Anthem. The Parade will then re-assemble and move off at 11:15am.

Residents are requested not to park any vehicles on School Lane, High Street or Church Street due to the parade gathering and marching along that route.

Rev. Peter Bold will officiate at the outdoor service; the Sheffield Concert Band and the Parish Church Choir will be present in the Library Gardens and the Parish Church wardens will distribute printed orders of service.

Following the service the Parade will move off and halt outside the Parish Church to give those wishing to attend the final indoor part of the service the opportunity to enter the Church prior to the Parade's dismissal in School Lane. A collection will be taken in Church, the proceeds of which will be sent to the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.

Please note: There will be a road closure in place on School Lane, Church Street and High Street from 10am - 11:30am, this also means access to the Civic Centre car park will be restricted during this time.
