Don't miss the Dronfield Gala on Sunday 30th June

The Dronfield Gala takes place this Sunday, 30th June in Cliffe Park between 12pm and 4pm and there is fun for all the family. If you were wondering how to entertain the kids this weekend then why not pop along?

Fairground Rides

There will be the usual great selection of fairgrounds rides and inflatables for all ages. Plus the Town Council have arranged for trampolines and Wipeout - which will be free of charge.

Circus Skills Workshop

Come along and have a go at a wide range of circus equipment ranging from juggling balls to plate spinning to diabolo's and impress your friends with your new found circus skills.

Animal Encounters

Children of all ages will be able to encounter a wide variety of animals at the Gala ranging from pygmy hedgehogs to lizards to meerkats plus many more. Come and discover more about each animal from it's owner on the day.

Children's Crafts

In Gosforth Lodge, children will be able enjoy colouring for free or alternatively they can create an emoji magnet for £2.50, make a badge for £1 or have a go with jumping clay to create a mini owl model for £4.

Over 25 stall holders

There will also be the usual great selection of stalls from local community groups and commercial businesses. Stalls signed up so far include First Responders, Heritage Trust, RSPB, Caz's Cakes, Usbourne Books, Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice, Virgin Media and Dronfield Pharmacy will also be there to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation.

Food & Drink Stalls

Why not come early and enjoy your lunch in the park by having either a wood-fired pizza or visit the Moss Valley Fine Meats stall for a burger or sausage. Then enjoy a sugar covered donut from the Donut Hut or a waffle or chocolate covered strawberry and a glass of gin, prosecco or beer. The ice-van will also be on site.

Performers

Entertainment will be provided throughout the afternoon in the central arena. This year, regular dance group Dance Dronfield, will be joined by the marvellous Dronfield Genquip Brass Band and for the first time Dronfield Wado-Ryu Karate will be demonstrating the awesome talents of their members.

The Gala will be officially opened by the Dronfield Town Mayor and don't forget entry on the day is free of charge, so don't miss out, we look forward to seeing everyone there!
