Briefing session for prospective election candidates

North East Derbyshire District Council is holding a briefing session for prospective election candidates for the forthcoming local elections in May 2019.

The briefing session will take place at 6pm on Monday 18 February 2019 at North East Derbyshire District Council, District Council Offices, 2013 Mill Lane, Wingerworth, Chesterfield, S42 6NG and will last approx. one hour. There will be further briefing sessions to be held in March 2019.

The briefing will be hosted by the Returning Officer, Dan Swaine and will cover the nomination process, key dates of the election timetable, the election campaign, polling day and arrangements for the verification and count of the votes.

The briefing is open to all candidates and agents. It will be relevant to first time candidates or those standing again who require a refresh on the process.
