Dronfield Town Mayor’s 2017-18 Charity Funds Distributed

On Tuesday 29th August a number of local organisations and charities gathered in the Civic Hall for the presentation of the Dronfield Town Mayor's Charity Funds from 2017-18.

Cllr Philip Wright raised £5,000 during his tenure as Mayor in 2017-18 from a variety of different activities including coffee mornings, donations from local businesses and various evening events.

Over 15 local charities and organisations, listed below, were selected to receive contributions and representatives from each group attended last Tuesday to collect their donations;

- Alzheimer's Society
- Bluebell Wood (Master Cutlers Challenge)
- Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY)
- Dronfield St Johns the Baptist Church
- Dronfield 5th Scouts Group
- Dronfield Amateur Boxing Club
- Dronfield Cardio Club
- Dronfield Disabled Club
- Dronfield First Responder's
- Dronfield Hall Barn Trust
- Dronfield Mum's Breast Feeding Support Group
- Dronfield Probus Club
- Dronfield ATC
- Dronfield Town Twinning Federation
- Dronfield Welcome Club
- MDN Association South Yorkshire
- World Jamboree Scouts

Cllr Philip Wright extended his time as Town Mayor into 2018-19 and is currently continuing to raise funds for the Mayors Charity Fund, so if anyone is interested in making a donation simply pop into the Town Council offices or contact Cllr Philip Wright directly.
