Dronfield Annual Gala 2021

This summers Gala will, hopefully, finally be taking place on Sunday 25th July between 12pm and 4pm in Cliffe Park - it is set to be another great event with some fantastic features on the day highlighted below;

Circus Skills Workshop

This year children of all ages will be able to practice and master their own circus skills. From juggling balls to spinning plates, you can learn the lot.

Children's Bush Crafts

Tribe is a Derbyshire based social enterprise that aims to reconnect people of all ages with nature, using bushcraft as engaging tool to learn about the natural world. Come along and learn more about their activities and crafts.

20 stall holders

There will also be the usual great selection of stalls from local community groups and commercial businesses. Stalls signed up so far include Heritage Trust, Caz's Cakes, Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY), Fired Pizza, Drone Valley Brewery and Salute.

Classic cars

There will be a collection of around seven classic cars for people to view and talk to their owners on the day.

Performers

Entertainment will be provided throughout the afternoon in the central arena. This year, Dronfield Wado-Ryu Karate will be demonstrating the awesome talents of their members, the Ladies Voices Choir will be performing and regular dance group Dancedaze will also be hand to entertain visitors.

Fairground Rides

There will be the usual great selection of fairgrounds rides and inflatables for all ages. Plus the Town Council have arranged for trampolines, Wipeout, a climbing wall and an inflatable helter skelter - all of which will be free of charge.

The Gala will be officially opened by the Dronfield Town Mayor, Cllr Richard Welton and don't forget entry on the day is free of charge, so make sure the date is in your diary now!
