Dronfield Civic Hall

The map reference refers to the Dronfield Map.

Dronfield Civic Hall was completely re-built and opened its doors for the first time in December 1999. The hall cost almost £750,000 to complete and is located in the heart of the town in the Civic Centre (Map Ref E4).

The Main Hall seats up to 230 people on tiered comfortable seating for theatre, musicals or cinema shows. For functions, parties or special occasions, the hall can seat up to 150 people wishing to sit and dine. The Hall has a large professional stage complete with two modern dressing rooms with toilets and washing facilities. It also boasts a sophisticated theatre lighting system which can be dual controlled from either backstage or via the lighting/projection room to the rear of the hall. A modern state-of-the-art sound system is included in the hall and once again can be dual controlled.

Cinema projection facilities have recently been installed thanks to a grant from The East Midlands Development Agency which means all kinds of images can now be projected onto a commercial size cinema screen measuring 16ft by 12ft. Corporate events can also be staged using the latest computer technology incorporated into the projection and sound systems. Cinema shows are held weekly on Monday afternoons showing a wide range of popular films

Adjacent to the main hall is a large well fitted catering kitchen complete with industrial cooker, microwave, constant hot water boiler and a plentiful supply of crockery and cutlery to make that party go with a swing. Licenced bar facilities can be made available due to our community partnership agreement with NEDDC Sports Centre just across the road who provide licenced bars to our users and can be contacted on 01246 416166 for a quote to provide buffets and meals etc at reasonable prices.

The Shaun Hadley Room
